Something to do?

Coxwood Farm is ideally placed in North East Wales as a base for all manner of pastimes. Chester and Wrexham are only 7 miles away and our good motorway connections mean Liverpool and Manchester can be reached in less than an hour. The Wirral, Dee Estuary and Ceiriog Valley are just a short drive away. You can also drive to Anglesey or the peaks of Snowdonia in a little over an hour. We’ve listed a few of the attractions around but remember – Google is your friend!

My (Jimmi Hill) favourite restaurant in Chester. If you want authentic Italian food then you have to visit La Fattoria. Be warned though it's not always easy to get a table it is such a popular place to eat. Fancy a drink before or after then over the road is Oddfellows for cocktails and The Brewery Tap for real ales!

Standing the test of time in our local area the Grosvenor Pulford offers a fantastic range of options to eat. Famed for its Sunday carvery you can also get lunch and afternoon tea in the newly built Palm Court. Llangollen

A slice of Wales everyone should see - especially when the sun is shining! Check out the beautiful old railway and maybe take a walk along the nearby Panorama followed by an ice cream or lunch overlooking the river Dee. This is one of our favourite places to visit and we're very lucky to have it on our doorstep.

Try and grab yourself a bargain with many of the big brand names having a store at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet. Easily accessible off the main motorway about 35 minutes drive from the farm. Also, the site has plenty of parking, a cinema, a bowling alley/arcades and lots of options for eating out.

Historically a Roman fortified city many of the features still remain such as the walls, amphitheatre and a beautiful cathedral. Chester has also become a great place for a night out with many great restaurants and bars to help you finish off a great day in a beautiful city.

Beeston Castle

Set atop a rocky crag overlooking the Cheshire Plains Beeston castle is a truly breathtaking place to take in the surrounding views. There might not be much of the medieval castle left now but if you're looking for a leg stretcher and lung buster then the steep walk up to the castle is worth the effort. They often run events throughout the summer and the grounds are also a great place for wildlife.
